Fluorite/Abalone Tiered Necklace (sold) by ArtLoDesigns Fluorite/Abalone Tiered Necklace (sold) by ArtLoDesigns
2013
Abalone teardrop, loops, chips, and discs
fluorite pillars and round beads
silver vacuum plated beads
cobalt blue glass beads
heart-shaped fastener
(modeled by myself)

SOLD

This was commissioned by the same lady who bought my fluorite & abalone on silver filigree teardrop chandelier earrings. So now she has a matching set =)

This is the first real beaded necklace I've done. Honestly, the last time I made necklaces was when I was making hemp jewelry in middle school. So designing and beading this necklace was very much a new experience for me. (Not to mention I had to resupply and find some more materials to complement the earrings, which I'd started making several years ago...) I'd love to do more commissions like this one, though! =)

Beautiful design. Really like the donut-shaped abalone beads especially!

Thank you! Hmm...lovely idea...if I do a series of abalone or other shell/sea-themed stone type jewelry I may have to keep that phrase in mind as inspiration =)

I loved making it! =)
I wasn't expecting fluorite and abalone to go so well together originally, but the earrings came out wonderfully, and I almost like the necklace more
